Crochet Candy Corn Crafts
Candy Corn… those two words can instantly insight intense social media debates. But love them or hate them, one thing is for certain… their colors embody the colors of Fall in all it\’s glory! And even if you hate them, you have to admit… they sure make cute crochet candy corn crafts! So cute… I had to make a blog post to share with you a couple of patterns I created as well as some free patterns I tried and loved.
First things first: a shout out to some awesome designers who published these adorable Candy Corn patterns on Instagram!!

Candy Corn Half-Pint Pumpkin
This cutie is a smaller version of my Free Crocheted Pumpkin Pattern. Check out that blog post to familiarize yourself with the construction basics. Then make the following changes:
- Colors: Yellow, Orange and White (always in that order)
- New size: chain = 5\”, length = 10\”. I used 4/med. weight yarn with a 4mm hook and my chain was 21 sts. My total rows were 36.
- Change your color every row (follow the order above.) I carried my yarns all the way through. It works out that the next color you will need is the color ready at the end of the round. How perfect! (This method will work with ANY 3 colors!)
- Do not make ribs. Instead, you will flatten your pumpkin. To do this, after gathering the top (bottom is already gathered and pumpkin is lightly stuffed) tie off your yarn. Then using a long needle, go through the pumpkin and come out the bottom. Move over 1 stitch and go back up through the pumpkin. Pull tight to \”flatten\” the pumpkin. Repeat once more to secure and FO.
- New Stem: With White, make a ch with the same number as your beginning pumpkin ch. Make 2 SC rows. Fold stem together and SC along the end. FO and leave a long tail to sew into the hole at the top of the pumpkin. Secure by sewing through to the bottom and back up to the top like you did to flatten your pumpkin.
- That\’s it!
Candy Corn Bottle Wrap
Check out this post on some other Fall themed candy jars made by re-purposing those Starbucks Frappuccino bottles. I wanted to also make a crochet candy jar pattern for my crochet friends out there. And what better theme than Candy Corn to hold those candies (for those who like them of course)? So this sweet little corset was created to give those little candies the \”support\” they need (lol!!) It is soooo easy.
- Supplies: 4/med. weight yarn in Yellow, Orange & White and a 4mm crochet hook.
- Wrap: With Yellow, ch enough to wrap around your bottle leaving a 1\” gap. Mine was 31.
- In second ch from hook and down ch, HDC. Ch1, turn.
- HDC across. Ch1, turn.
- Change to Orange and repeat for 2 rows.
- Change to White and repeat for 2 rows. FO and weave in ends away from the edge.
- Corset lace: With White, ch70. Pull ends tight. Thread one end through a yarn needle.
- With the yellow at the bottom, thread the ch through the edges of the wrap like a lacing up a shoe. using each row as a \”hole\”. Be sure to keep ends even.
- Slide the wrap over the bottle and adjust the laces evenly. Tie in a bow at the top of the corset.
- Fill jar with candy corn (add peanuts for a \”Payday\” – like treat!)
- That\’s it!!
I hope you have enjoyed these two super easy, Crochet Candy Corn Crafts and will give them a try. What a cute little gift set they, along with one or all of the other patterns linked) would make for your co-workers, Pastor\’s, Secret-Sisters, teachers, and anyone else you wish! They would also make an adorable gift basket to raffle or give as prizes. So many ideas for these cuties!
If you make some, please tag me on Social Media so I can see your creations! And as always…
